Asclepias vesitita - Woolly Milkweed

Woolly Milkweed is native to the eastern edge of California's San Joaquin Valley. A sprawling silvery perennial, it thrives in a climate that is dry in summer, rainy in spring. It's often found at the edge of oak forests. If you live where it's hot and dry in summer, this is an ideal addition to your milkweed garden.

Orioles use the dry stems to weave their nests, which they suspend 50' in the air, dangling at the end of branches. Still, snakes get the eggs. (They look like small fiberglass handbags.)

20 rare seeds.
